MICHAEL FOLWELL A.I.A.


A graduate of the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colo., with a Bachelors Degree in History and a Masters Degree in Architecture, Folwell’s architectural experience includes working with the Prague (Czech Republic) City Council, Thom Mayne and Morphosis of Los Angeles, serving as Honorarium instructor and ongoing involvement with architectural studio reviews at the University of Colorado.

Currently Michael, a licensed architect and member of the American Institute of Architects, is owner/principal in Michael Folwell Architecture. The firm has completed projects in the educational, recreational, residential and commercial fields. These projects include a renovation of Friends’ School in Boulder, Colorado, addition and remodel of the Boulder Rock Club climbing facility, a gathering house for a private ranch compound and a 200-plus seat-dining hall for Teton Valley Ranch, as well as several private residences. He serves as the architectural consultant for Silver Oak Cellars in Napa Valley, California, that is currently constructing a new 65,000 s.f. winery production, administration and hospitality facility.

Living in Boulder, Colorado with his wife and two children. Michael is currently involved with Friends School in Boulder where he serves on the community Board of Directors
